Hot voting is completely free, anonymous, and requires no registration. Learn when to use it and how it differs from other vote types.
Hot voting is the simplest vote type on voteMe.live. It is completely free, requires no registration, and is anonymous. Anyone who visits your event page can vote immediately with no login, no payment, and no access code.
Hot voting is best for:
It is not suited for events where you need fraud resistance or revenue generation. Because there is no authentication, a single person could technically vote many times.
Voters visit your event page, click a contestant, and confirm their vote. That is it. No forms, no payments, no waiting for email credentials. The vote registers instantly and the leaderboard updates in real time.
USSD voting is only available for paid voting events. Hot voting is web-only.
Contestants in hot voting events do not receive short codes. Short codes are only assigned to contestants in paid voting events and are used exclusively for the USSD channel.
Because hot voting is anonymous, it is possible for determined bad actors to inflate counts. voteMe.live applies basic rate limiting per session and IP address, and our fraud scoring system flags suspicious velocity. For events where vote integrity is important, use paid voting or election-style voting instead.
