Version 1.0

voteMe.live is operated out of Ghana and processes payments through Paystack. We never share voter details with organizers beyond what the event's registration settings authorize. Tickets are signed with a rotatable HMAC key so a compromised scanner cannot forge entries. Read more in our privacy policy and how it works.

Your Paystack subaccount explained

Every paid event on voteMe.live uses a Paystack subaccount to handle the revenue split automatically.

What is a Paystack subaccount?

Paystack is the payment processor used by voteMe.live. A subaccount is a wallet within the Paystack ecosystem linked to your mobile money or bank account. When a voter or ticket buyer pays, Paystack splits the money in real time: your share goes to your subaccount, and the platform's share stays in the voteMe.live master account.

You never touch the platform's share. Your subaccount always holds exactly what you have earned.

When is it created?

Your subaccount is created automatically when you create your first paid event (paid voting, ticketing, or a hybrid event). It uses the payment details you provided during onboarding.

The same subaccount is reused for:

  • Paid voting on that event
  • Ticketing on that event (if enabled)
  • Paid nominations on that event (if enabled)

You do not need to set up a new subaccount for different features on the same event.

Viewing your subaccount balance

Your balance is shown on the Finance page in your dashboard. It reflects the real-time balance in your Paystack subaccount.

All payouts are manual

voteMe.live does not schedule automatic payouts. Your money stays in your subaccount until you initiate a withdrawal from the dashboard. This gives you full control over when to receive funds.

What if my payment details change?

Contact support at voteme.live/contact to update your subaccount payment details. Do not attempt to change them in the dashboard yourself as this requires a re-verification step with Paystack.
