Getting started as an event organizer

Welcome to voteMe.live. This guide gets you from sign-up to your first published event.

Step 1: Create your account

Visit voteme.live/signup and create your organiser account. You will need:

• Your full name
• Your email address
• A password

After signing up, check your email for a verification link. Click it to verify your email address before continuing.

Step 2: Complete your profile

After verification, you will be taken through the onboarding wizard:

• Profile step — add your display name, bio, and profile photo
• Payment step — connect your mobile money account (MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, or AirtelTigo Money) or bank account. This is used to create your Paystack subaccount for receiving earnings.

The payment step is required for paid events. You can skip it if you only plan to run free events, but you will need to complete it before creating a paid event.

Step 3: Create your event

Go to Dashboard → Events → New Event and follow the event creation wizard.

Your dashboard

Your dashboard is at voteme.live/dashboard. From here you can:

• View all your events
• See your revenue and withdrawal history
• Manage your Studio designs
• Update your profile and payment details

Security recommendations

• Use a strong, unique password
• Enable two-factor authentication (TOTP) in your account settings — this is strongly recommended and required before initiating withdrawals over a certain amount
• Do not share your account credentials with team members — use the Members feature to grant them access instead
