How refunds work on voteMe.live for tickets, vote payments, and nomination fees.
This article explains how refunds work across the different payment types on voteMe.live. For the full legal policy, see the Refund Policy at voteme.live/legal/refunds.
Ticket refunds are controlled by the event organiser. Each organiser sets:
The platform enforces the organiser's stated policy. If an event's policy does not allow refunds, voteMe.live cannot override this. Always check the refund policy on the event's ticket page before purchasing.
To request a refund, go to voteme.live/my-tickets and follow the steps there.
Paid votes are non-refundable. Once a vote payment has been confirmed by Paystack and the votes have been credited to the contestant, the transaction cannot be reversed.
In exceptional circumstances (for example, if the event is cancelled by the organiser), contact support at voteme.live/contact and we will review the situation.
Paid nomination fees are non-refundable once the nomination has been submitted and accepted.
The platform fee (10% for voting, 5% for other paid features) is non-refundable in all cases. This covers the cost of payment processing and platform operations.
Paystack's transaction processing fees are non-refundable regardless of the reason for refund, as Paystack charges these fees at the time of transaction.
If you believe a charge was made in error, contact support at voteme.live/contact with the transaction reference, your email, and a description of the issue. We will investigate and respond within 2 business days.
