Inviting team members to your event

voteMe.live lets you build a team for each event with specific roles and permissions.

Member roles

• Owner — full access to everything. Only one per event. Transfer via Danger zone.
• Manager — full access except ownership transfer and danger-zone actions.
• Moderator — can moderate chat and manage nominations. Cannot access finance.
• Scanner — can scan tickets at the gate. No access to event settings or finance.
• Viewer — read-only access to the finance summary. Cannot make any changes.

How to invite a member

1. 1Go to Events → [your event] → Members
2. 2Click Invite member
3. 3Enter their email address
4. 4Choose a role preset (this sets sensible default permissions)
5. 5Adjust individual permissions if needed
6. 6Click Send invitation

The invitee receives an email with a secure single-use link valid for 72 hours. Once they accept, they are added to your team. If they do not have a voteMe.live account, they will be prompted to create one before accepting.

Custom permissions

Every permission is a checkbox you can toggle independently:

• Edit event settings
• Manage categories
• Manage contestants
• Manage voters
• Manage tickets
• Scan tickets
• Manage nominations
• Moderate chat
• Use Studio
• View finance
• Initiate withdrawals
• Manage members
• View analytics
• View audit log

A "Scanner" role member with canViewAnalytics turned on will see the analytics page even though scanners cannot by default. Fine-grained control means you can customise exactly what each person can do.

Revoking access

Go to Events → Members, click the member, and click Suspend. Their access is immediately revoked. You can reinstate them later.

Pending invitations

Invited members who have not yet accepted appear in a Pending Invitations list. You can revoke a pending invitation at any time.
