How to buy tickets via USSD

You can purchase tickets to any voteMe.live ticketing event from any Ghanaian mobile phone using USSD, even without internet access.

USSD ticket purchase is only available for events that have ticketing enabled. Not all events sell tickets — check with the event organiser.

What you need

• A mobile phone with a Ghanaian SIM (MTN, Telecel, or AirtelTigo)
• Mobile Money balance sufficient to cover the ticket price
• The event's USSD code (provided by the organiser or shown at the event)

Step-by-step

1. 1Dial the event's USSD code (e.g. 920456#)
2. 2Select "Buy tickets" from the menu
3. 3Select your ticket tier (e.g. Regular, VIP)
4. 4Enter the number of tickets you want (maximum per your order limit)
5. 5Review and confirm the total amount
6. 6Approve the Mobile Money payment prompt with your PIN
7. 7Receive an SMS with your ticket short code(s) within a few minutes

Your SMS receipt

After a successful purchase, you receive an SMS containing:

• Event name and date
• Tier name
• Number of tickets
• Your 6-digit short code(s) — one per ticket
• A link to retrieve your full QR ticket if you have internet later

Show your short code to the gate scanner at the venue for entry.

Troubleshooting

I completed payment but did not receive an SMS Allow up to 5 minutes. Network SMS delays can occur. If you still have not received your code after 5 minutes, visit the event website and look up your tickets using your phone number and email.

I want to buy tickets for multiple people You can buy multiple tickets in one USSD order up to the event's maximum per order. Each ticket will have its own unique short code in the SMS.

Can I transfer a USSD-purchased ticket? Yes, if the organiser has enabled transfers. Visit the event's website (voteme.live/my-tickets), look up your order with your email and access code, and initiate the transfer from there.
